The ceremony and reception will be held at the FareStart restaurant in Seattle, WA on the evening of Saturday, October 15th at 6:20 in the evening. Location information and directions to FareStart can be found below. A reception with dinner, drinks, dancing, and general merriment will follow the ceremony.
Help Emily and Steve celebrate by ensuring you bring both your appetite and your dancing shoes. Also, remember to bring your digital camera! The couple would love to see your favorite ceremony and reception pictures following the event.
The FareStart Restaurant, located at 7th & Virginia in downtown Seattle, is open for lunch Monday-Friday from 11am–2pm, and for Guest Chef Night dinners on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. All proceeds from the organization's catering, lunch service, and from Guest Chef Night go directly back into the program to support the FareStart job training and placement programs. Congratulations to FareStart, the recipient of the 2011 James Beard Foundation Humanitarian of the Year Award!

Hotel Max and FareStart driving directions
From the South (I-5 and Seatac Airport):
- From the airport, follow signs in center lanes of airport freeway exit, then shifting to right lane, follow to “I-5 and I-405” signs. When you merge onto the freeway Hwy. 518, move to far left lane within one mile.
- Take exit ramp on left to I-5 northbound. Go north about 12 miles into downtown Seattle core area past football and baseball stadiums.
- Move to left lane when you enter the core downtown area (Do not take I-5 Northbound Express Lane exit)
- Take left hand exit on Seneca Street (Exit 165)
- At end of ramp, move to right lane, take angle right turn to go north on 6th Avenue (one-way)
- Go six blocks just past Stewart Street, take angled right turn on Westlake Avenue
- Go 200’, then right turn onto Virginia Street
- Take a quick right (100’) on 7th Avenue
- Take a quick right at next street – Stewart St.– and pull to curb on right at Hotel Max valet parking in front
FareStart Venue - One Block from Hotel Max
- Go into downtown Seattle on northbound I-5
- Move to left lane when you enter the core downtown area (Do not take I-5 Northbound Express Lane Exit)
- Take left hand exit on Seneca Street (Exit 165)
- At end of ramp, move to right lane, take angle right turn to go north on 6th Avenue (one-way)
- Go six blocks just past Stewart Street, take angled right turn on Westlake Avenue
- Go 200’, then right turn onto Virginia Street
- FareStart Venue will be on left in next block at corner of 7th and Virginia
- Park in a nearby parking garage; one is located on left on the same block of Virginia Street just to the north of FareStart restaurant (West 8th Blg. Public Parking). Only limited on-street parking in available in this area. Other parking garages can be found in this section of downtown
From the North (On I-5 freeway)
- Follow I-5 southbound into downtown area just past Lake Union on right
- Take Stewart-Denny Exit (#166 Exit), go past Flagship REI store on right and go southbound on Stewart
- Go about seven blocks and move to right lane near 8th Avenue
- At 7th Avenue, move to valet parking spot on right in front of Hotel Max on corner of 7th and Stewart
FareStart Venue
- Follow I-5 southbound into downtown area just past Lake Union on right
- Take Stewart-Denny Exit (#166 Exit), down the off ramp, past Flagship REI store on right and go southbound on Stewart Street
- Go about seven blocks and move to right lane near 7th or 8th Avenues
- Take a right turn on 6th Avenue
- Go 100’, take angle right turn on Westlake Avenue
- Go 200’, then right turn onto Virginia Street
- FareStart will be on left in next block at corner of 7th and Virginia
- Park in a nearby garage; one is located on the left on the same block of Virginia Street just to the north of FareStart(West 8th Blg. Public Parking Garage). Only limited on-street parking in available in this area. Other parking garages can be found in this section of town
Directions from I-90 (Eastside) into Seattle:
- Follow I-90 westbound across Lake Washington and through tunnel into Seattle.
- Move to right lanes to “Northbound I-5” and take ramp
- Go around ramp curve and move to Madison Street exit ramp lane
- At Madison Street, be in middle or second lane from left that will allow left turn on to Madison Street bridge
- Cross freeway bridge and get in right lane
- Take right turn on 6th Avenue
- Follow 6th Avenue about eight blocks north and cross Stewart Street
- Take diagonal right on Westlake Avenue, go 200 feet and right onto Virginia Street
- (For Venue) FareStart Restaurant is on corner of Virginia and 7th on left
- (For Hotel) Take quick right turn on 7th Avenue, then quick right on Stewart Street into parking spot at curb in front of Hotel Max at corner (valet)
Leaving Hotel/Venue to get back to I-5
To go South on I-5 (Airport, etc)
- From FareStart/Hotel Max –go north on Virginia Street (one-way) and move to right lane, right on 9th Avenue
- Move to left lane, go past Stewart St.
- Take left on Howell St., (100’ from street end at light)
- Go north uphill on Howell St. about four blocks and move to right lane (one-way street)
- Take right at Yale Ave./Southbound I-5 entrance ramp (marked with “South I-5” signs)
- Airport – Go south about 12 miles and then west on Highway 518 (follow “Sea-Tac Airport” signage from I-5)
To go North on I-5
- From FareStart/Hotel Max – north uphill on Virginia Street (one-way street) and move to right lane, right on 9th Avenue
- Move quickly to left lane, go past Stewart St.
- Cross Howell St. and go 50 feet to next light (street end), then left at light on Olive Way. Move to left lanes as possible.
- Go uphill on Olive about three block and cross freeway, curve in left lane onto Northbound I-5 ramp (follow signage)
